Carlos Slim was born in Mexico Metropolis, Mexico in 1940 to Maronite Christian dad and mom Julián Slim Haddad and Linda Helú, equally of Lebanese descent.
His father, born Khalil Slim Haddad, immigrated to Mexico at the age of 14 in 1902 and transformed his first title to Julián.
